A final report on the regional seminar/workshops on women in the world of work conducted for selected leaders in vocational education and industry, this document contains the following information: a discussion of the current political, social, and economic patterns affecting vocational and career education; policies and procedures recommended by workshop participants to correct discrimination.

This document contains the final report on three U.S. Office of Education regions III regional seminar/workshops and one national invitational seminar/workshop on women in the world of work.

The seminar/workshops were designed specifically to further the professional development of leaders in vocational-technical education. During the workshops, speakers with expertise in specific areas relating to women in education.

Topics are presented based on community needs and requests in areas relating to Career, Family, Personal Growth, and Separation & Divorce. The Women’s Center also hosts an annual Leadership Conference where hundreds of corporate and community members join to hear from leaders in media, government, corporations, nonprofits, sports, and small businesses.
